Katherine Diase, M.D, FACOG
Dr. Katherine Diase is a native of Brownsville, TX. Her early interests in humankind and science led her to pursue a B.A. in anthropology and biology from the University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she also met her husband, Dr. Mark Vital.
Her specialty training degree in obstetrics and gynecology is from the University of Texas Houston Hermann Hospital Program where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident.
Other notable awards are Chief Resident of the Year and an award for Laparoscopic excellence. Dr. Diase was recognized and awarded “Houston’s Top Docs” in 2008 and 2009 and “Houston’s Top Doc for Women” in 2008, by H Texas Magazine.
She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Her hobbies are reading, rollerblading, and growing orchids. She is the proud mother of her son, Coleman and daughter Kennedy, and enjoys spending every spare moment with her family.
Dr. Diase is certified by American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a member of the Harris County Medical Society.
